What if there is more damage other than what is on the estimate?
With today's vehicles it can be difficult to see all the damage during the initial inspection. Once the vehicle has been disassembled we will be able to get a view of the whole damage and write what is called a supplement. If additional damage is found, it is documented and discussed with you and the insurance company. The insurance company may or may not want to come see the damages.
If the insurance company representative wants to come see the additional damage, the repair process could be delayed from 2-5 business days. Be mindful that if additional parts are found to be damaged they will need to be ordered and that can lead to another delay (based on the availability). Once they approve the supplement, then the additional charges are itemized and billed along with the rest of the repairs.
What does "OEM" stand for?
OEM stands for "Original Equipment Manufacture". It describes parts made by the manufacturer of your vehicle. Toyota parts come from Toyota, Nissan parts come from Nissan, etc.
